One more reason that music journalism is total bullshit:
From Pitchfork's review of Weezer's "Make Believe": "[...] it calls into question whether The Blue Album was really that great, or whether it just stood out as a rare beacon of guitar pop in a grunge-obsessed era."
From Chartattack.com's review of Weezer's "Make Believe": "Comparing their more recent releases with their first two, you have to wonder — were Weezer ever really that good or were we just crying out for something other than grunge?"
Uh-oh! Looks like Weezer aren't the only ones churning out recycled mediocrity! |

| | stephen malkmus - baby c'mon | ] | Tonight, by chance or perhaps some design of fate, I ended up very awkwardly crashing a med student party with Meghan and Gord and Shawn. I learned two things about tomorrow's doctors:
1. Thirty years from now, when I go to get my cirrhosis checked out, the doctor will in all likelihood be dispensing advice hard-won through firsthand experience;
2. I will spend my time in the waiting room listening to Eric Prydz and tepid modern rock covers of "Mrs. Robinson". |

You know those crazy lj communities of all these girls encouraging each others' anorexia? teeth_like_whoa is like that, but for people who are compulsive teeth-whiteners. "I use Crest White Strips like there's no tomorrow, and everyone says 'Oh my god! Your teeth are so white!' but when I look in a mirror I just don't see it :("
I mean, I love brushing my teeth but this is ridiculous. YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS KIND OF CRAZY UP! |
